If the Northern Lights come out to play, head to the viewing room and dive into a squishy sofa to watch the spectacular show.
The food here has a great reputation, with a buffet breakfast and dinner served in the hotel, including your festive Gala Dinner on your final evening.
There’s lots to do - playroom for the kids, gym, sauna, a cosy bar with an open fireplace, and a lovely boutique gift shop for souvenirs.
It’s close to the ski slopes and you can also use the hotel’s toboggans if you fancy a go on the longest run in Finland. It’s also right in the centre so it's easy to wander around Saariselkä.
